The Art Alliance: Provocateurs street and contemporary art exhibition will take place alongside, and in partnership with, Lollapalooza, one of the largest music festivals in the world, which draws hundreds of thousands of culturally sophisticated and creatively curious visitors to Chicago each summer. As part of the Lollapalooza tradition, a special after show (9pm-1am) has been confirmed featuring alternative hip-hop supergroup Deltron 3030 with a Shepard Fairey DJ set on Saturday, August 2nd. Tickets for this performance will be the first official Lollapalooza after show tickets available in 2014.
Art pieces will be available for sale both during gallery hours and at the after show performances.
Gallery hours will be from 10:00am to 6:00pm each day. Advance single-day tickets are available now for $10. Gallery tickets will be $12 at the door. Children age 10 and under enter for free. The Saturday night after show is 18+, and tickets are $20 ($22 day of show). Visit www.artalliance.com to purchase tickets now.
A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Chicago Art Partnerships In Education (CAPE), an organization which inspires students to be passionate about their education by weaving visual and performing arts into their classroom lessons. They bring academic subjects to life through art, and partner teaching artists with Chicago Public School teachers to develop original, creative lesson plans.
